When performing a Microsoft Exchange server backup, the following error message is received in the backup report:
CExBackup::backupFile:WriteFile Path=\temp_directory\backupset_id\SERVER\Microsoft Information Store\ Mailbox Store (SERVER)\File: Error Number 0x70: There is not enough space on the disk.
In order to perform a Microsoft Exchange server backup, it is required that the computer running the backup job, must have sufficient free disk space for the spooling of the server file.
This error can be fixed by one of the following;
> Free up disk space on the local drive where the temporary directory is directed.
> Change the “Temporary Directory for storing backup files” location, to a drive other than C that has sufficient free space, as follows:
1. Click the [Settings](Gear) icon in the backup software at the bottom left.
2. Choose the correct backup set, click Options and choose a new location (with free disk space) for the temporary directory
Special Note – A full backup of the Exchange database must complete before the transaction logs will successfully start backing up.
You can manually start the full backup without waiting for the scheduled backup to initiate. Manual backup of Exchange, MS SQL, and MySQL
